DECISION SNAPSHOT
The cream you use when your skin looks uneven and feels a bit rough, and a watery toner is not what you want. The Ordinary’s Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% is cream-like, with a silicone slip, and made to be used every day. A small amount, morning and night, and sunscreen whenever you are in the sun.
SIMPLI VERDICT
You, if dullness, rough texture, or the look of redness is what you notice, and you can be patient for a few weeks.
Your skin is already peeling or stinging, or you hate the feel of silicone under makeup. Let this settle before foundation, or leave it.
Start-Safe: A small amount, a few evenings first, away from eyes and mouth. Then morning and night if your face stays calm. Sunscreen in the daytime.
This is product-level guidance, not a personal routine recommendation. If you already own a suitable product doing this job, you may not need another one.
PRODUCT GUIDE

A 30ml tube of The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%. Cream-like rather than a gel, with enough silicone to feel silky. The Ordinary makes it for uneven tone, dullness, rough texture and the look of redness, and calls it gentle enough for daily use on any skin type. No alcohol, no oil. It is not silicone-free, which is why it spreads so easily and why makeup sometimes prefers a minute of waiting.
A small amount over the face, morning and evening, after thinner serums. Keep it off eyes and mouth. Wear sunscreen during the day. The Ordinary gives the pH as 4 to 5.
Start-safe: evenings only for the first week. If it prickles and fades, you can add mornings. If it stays hot, rinse it off.
Azelaic acid at 10%, in a creamy suspension with dimethicone for slip and tocopherol alongside.

It is there to improve the look of uneven tone and texture. Expect a smoother, more even look with steady use, not a bleached spot overnight.
The silicone slip can ball up if you rush makeup on top. Give it a minute, use less, or put it at night only.
Not on the same evening while you are still learning your skin. Azelaic on some nights, retinol on others, until both feel easy.
BEFORE YOU BUY
A better routine is not always a bigger routine. Check whether this product adds a job your current routine is actually missing.
If an azelaic cream you already own is doing this job comfortably, finish it. This suspension is for when you want 10% in a simple cream texture.
Leave it if your skin already looks even and feels smooth. An acid is a tool, not a habit you owe yourself.
